Happy Birthday to me

Today is my birthday. So far I've been at work, went into town and got my hair done. Then came home. Called my parents and nan to thank them for them birthday cards and money. Tonight I'll be going to hit the town with my girlies and have a few drinks and go to the pictures. Cannot wait. Feeling pretty good considering I haven't slept yet!

For the last few months my muse seemed to have disappeared, but it's starting to slowly come to light again! I'm looking forward to this weekend where I'll have a bit more time to write and do some artsy bits n pieces. yay. go me!

Sleep deprived

How annoying is it when you're fast asleep and someone comes and wakes you up and you can't get back to sleep?
This is why I need my own place so I have no one waking me up constantly! It's so ignorant! Why would someone do that when they hate having it done to them.

Well not quite, but I had a wicked time last night and don't have a hangover either!

We went to the reflex and basically had such a laugh. I haven't laughed like that in such a long time. Plus, it felt nice to be included in such social circles as I usually feel like the oddball around groups of friends. Perhaps cause my humour is a little more strange than most and not many people get me. I also enjoy my own company a lot more so it makes it harder for me to relax around others. I'm always wondering if they are judging me. And, there's the other reason - the fact that I work long hours and when I'm not working I'm usually sleeping I tend to miss out on a lot of things going on, so I fall behind and then find I can't join in on the in jokes and feel slightly left out. I know that's not anyone else's fault but my own, but it doesn't really help me ease back into the circles again and so some times I feel like I might as well sod it.

I realise I'm venting a little and getting on a downer, but after a lot of thinking about it, its bound to come out sooner or later. As I was talking about friends and social circles, it got reminding me of how much I don't mind me on my own.

Anyway, Im off to bed... thanks for listening void

The X Factor

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that Jamie 'Afro' Archer has a Robbie William vibe going on. I mean apart from his hair. I'm not a huge Robbie fan, I'll have to admit, but there's something in Jamie's performances that makes me think of Robbie. I like Jamie, I hope he does really well in this competition and even if he doesn't win, I still hope he gets a recording contract and goes on to be successful.
As for the rest of them, they're all really good except for John and Edward, I'm really not sure what they're still doing in the show, and Lloyd, as nice and sweet as he seems to be, I think he is out of his depth.

As for Miss Frank they are definitely my favourites to win.

Nightmares

Work was hell, and I am sure my team leader was pissed off with me, but since I did all I could, and since I am not a robot, and I only managed two hours sleep last night, I don't really give a toss. I know that I work damn hard and if that doesn't get noticed then I can't do no more.
Tonight I have a night off and I'm going to my mates birthday party, I can't wait. I haven't been out in a while so it should be great fun.

So, I've never been great at getting to sleep. Even when I've had a really busy night and I'm so tired at work I can't keep my eyes open. As soon as I get home - its the same old story - I get into bed, but my brain doesn't switch off. I've been on the go since 8 last night and now it's 4:30 pm and I'm supposed to be awake again in four hours. Please, if some one knows how I can get to sleep when I get home from work, short of knocking myself out please let me know!
